Welcome! We’re so excited to celebrate our special day with you! Our weekend festivities will take place throughout the charming town of Carmel-by-the-Sea. To help you plan your trip, we’ve put together some information on travel and logistics.

Nearest Airports

If you're flying into SJC or SFO, we recommend allowing extra time to account for potential delays on the roads. The drive to Carmel-by-the-Sea can take anywhere from 1 to 3 hours depending on traffic, so planning ahead will ensure a smoother arrival for the wedding weekend.

Cars & Shuttles

Major car rental services are available at each of the airports listed above. Groome Transportation (formerly Monterey Airbus) offers daily shared shuttles for pick up and drop off to the Monterey Regional Airport, San Jose International Airport and San Francisco International Airport. Ubers and Lyfts are also available around the Monterey Peninsula.&nbsp;

Accomodations

We'd love for you to stay at our wedding venue, La Playa Hotel, or other nearby options. We also have a room block available at the Hyatt Regency Monterey, which is a quick 10 minute drive from downtown Carmel.

★ A historic gem known for its stunning ocean views and timeless charm | $$$$ Our Take: Staying at the venue always has it's perks and we'd love to see you around! Nightly rates are on the high-end but includes a daily champagne breakfast buffet and other amenities.

La Playa Hotel

★ A resort-style hotel is set on the Del Monte Golf Course with a range of dining options and activities, centrally located near downtown Monterrey | $$ **ROOM BLOCK PRICING <a href="https://www.hyatt.com/en-US/group-booking/MRYDM/G-CRMS" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">HERE</a>** Our Take: The best option if you are traveling with your children, with plenty of on-site parking and amenities. While this is a short drive from the venue, it is centrally-located for all that the Monterey Peninsula has to offer!

Hyatt Regency Monterey

★ Luxury, boutique hotel with elegant European-inspired design and an award-winning restaurant | $$$$ Our Take: This is just a short 0.2-mile stroll from La Playa Hotel and is an excellent option for guests seeking upscale accommodations near the wedding venue​.

L'Auberge Carmel

★ A charming boutique hotel known for its 1920s Spanish-style architecture and its warm, pet-friendly atmosphere | $$$ Our Take: This is a more pocket-friendly option that's super convenient at just a 0.3-mile walk from the venue.

Cypress Inn

★ Established in 1889 and the oldest hotel in Carmel, this boutique property combines timeless elegance with modern amenities. | $$ Our Take: This is a very nice option, especially if you want to take in a bit of the historical charm of the area. It's just a short 0.2-mile walk from La Playa.

Outdoor Adventures

The main parking lots fill up early, especially on weekends, but you can usually find street parking along Highway 1. <a href="https://maps.app.goo.gl/FGYNivVD359FZZLA9" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">17-Mile Drive</a>A beautiful, scenic route along the coast that winds through Pebble Beach. There's a $12.50 per car entrance fee (waved if you dine at a Pebble Beach restaurant!). What date should I RSVP by? Please RSVP by July 2nd by mailing in the RSVP card sent with your invitation. Where is the ceremony and reception?Our ceremony will be held at La Playa Hotel in the courtyard with a reception to follow. <a href="https://maps.app.goo.gl/ZeRonCBspubmKCe27" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Link to Google Maps.</a> How do I get to the wedding? Many of our recommended hotels are within walking distance. If you need to arrive by car, we highly recommend using rideshare as there is no parking at the hotel (only limited street parking). What time should we arrive for the ceremony?The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 pm. We recommend arriving 30 minutes before the ceremony starts to get settled in. Is the wedding indoors or outdoors? The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors and the reception will be indoors. Bring a layer as Carmel can get a bit chilly at night! What is the dress code? Formal. Think: suits, formal gowns or cocktail dresses. Are kids welcome? We love your kids but unfortunately this is an adults-only affair, with the exception of close family. Can I bring a plus one?While we would love to extend an invitation to all of our friends and family, our venue has limited space. We kindly ask that you refrain from bringing a plus one unless specifically noted on your invitation. Thank you for understanding! I have a food allergy, can I make a special request? Of course! For any significant allergies or dietary restrictions, please notate when you RSVP or contact cheers@confettiandcocktails.com. Will there be a late night event?While Carmel is a sleepy town, we'll get to extend the night a little longer in the famous Bud's at La Playa until midnight! Where is the welcome party?The welcome party will be hosted at Foray Restaurant in downtown Carmel from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. We highly encourage walking or rideshare as street parking can be limited. Cocktail attire is encouraged. Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?We have reserved a room block at the Hyatt Regency Monterey, which is a quick 10 minute drive from downtown Carmel. Use Code:&nbsp;G-CRMS.
